On June 16th, the Federació d’Associacions de Gent Gran de Catalunya (Fatec) formalized its incorporation as a member of AVI. Mr. Mario Cugat Leseus, the president, signed as a representative of FATEC, President Dr. Ma. Asuncion Torrent signed as a representative of the AVI.

FATEC comprises the elderly associations in our country, whether homes and centers as well as other types of specialized associations, provided that they are made up of seniors. FATEC promotes activities and actions in favor of the promotion of the elderly in our society.

That same day 16th, also was formally incorporated ALZHEIMER CATALUNYA FOUNDATION as a member of the AVI. President Dr. Ma. Asuncion Torrents signed as the representative of AVI and President Mrs Eulalia Cucurella Fabregat as the representative of ALZHEIMER CATALUNYA.

ALZHEIMER CATALUNYA is an organization composed by professionals. The aim of the foundation is to inform, give advice and support people affected by dementia, their families and the professionals. They help them to confront and manage change and new situations involving the evolution of the disease.
